The Northamptonshire Construction Training Group (NCTG) was set up in 1998 and is a non-profit making organisation, which is affliated to, and funded by, ConstructionSkills.

It was founded to increase the amount of training undertaken by construction companies in Northamptonshire, and its main goal is to deliver effective training at a competitive rate to local companies.

December 1998

Founded by a ConstructionSkills and private industry partnership to increase the amount of construction training undertaken by construction companies in Northamptonshire
Membership starts with 13 members

March 2000

First AGM held
Membership increased to 24 companies

April 2003

NCTG granted independent status by CITB-ConstructionSkills
Group recruits first employee – Group Training Officer – Gary Deer

July 2003

Incorporated as a limited company

January 2004

Registered for VAT

April 2004

NCTG achieves training targets for year and gains further grant support
Group membership increased to 40, and training days doubled to over 300

July 2004

Group recruits second employee – Louise Millard – to provide admin support to the Group Training Officer

April 2005

NCTG achieves training targets for year and gains grant support

April 2006

NCTG achieves training targets for year and gains grant support

January 2007

NCTG achieves training targets for year and gains grant support at a higher level
Financial year changes to Jan – Dec
John Webster voted in as Vice Chairman

November 2007

Gary Deer leaves the Group.
Kay Leech is employed as Group Training Officer.

December 2009

Kay Leech leaves the Group.
Janice Graham-Wilson is employed as Group Training Officer.
