What is Train to Gain?
Train to Gain is a new service designed to help businesses get the training they need to succeed. It is funded by the Learning Skills Council (LSC). It can help businesses improve their productivity and competitiveness by ensuring that staff have the right skills to do the best job.
What can Train to Gain do for construction employers?
Train to Gain will:
- fund first NVQ level 2 qualifications and apprenticeships—so not only will you be getting your worker qualified for FREE, but you can also claim ConstructionSkills grant, if you are a levy payer
- make a contribution to wage costs for employers with fewer than 50 employees
- offer free and impartial advice on all aspects of your training needs and will match needs with FE and training providers

Working closely with a highly experienced Train to Gain skills broker, you can provide quality, affordable training for your employees. Together you can:
- Identify the skills your business needs
- Pinpoint the right training
- Agree a tailored training package
- Find available funding
- Review the progress you are making
